Laws of Life Teaching Series

The Laws of Life Series (presented by Fred M. Mosely, a former federal and state prosecutor and state judge, and Jean Matthews-Mosely), is a systematic study of over 50 laws of life and how they relate to the lives of inmates, the previously incarcerated, their family members, prison staff, and all humankind, and the direct consequences that flow therefrom.

This informative and enlightening series (is a separate and distinct entity from JMI) will bring to your awareness the fact that we, as human beings made in the image of God, are governed not only by natural laws, physical laws, and the laws of men, but more importantly by Spiritual Laws. Those Spiritual Laws are the laws which God has ordained, which we cannot see with the human eye, and yet exist by his Divine Design.

Justice Associates

By and through Justice Associates, we endeavor to inform the general public and more specifically the inmate community and their family members, how the American system of juris prudence operates. Based upon Fred's experience in the legal profession, he has determined that perfect justice generally does not come about by and through man's system.

There is a higher system of justice that only comes by and through the Spirit of God and this is what we endeavour to make the body of Christ and whosever will understand the difference between the two.

Through Justice Associates, Fred formally speaks to church groups, business groups and individuals, those incarcerated or formally incarcerated (and their families) about the American Judicial system and how God's system supersedes the Laws of Man.

Most minority groups such as the handicapped, elderly, and ethnic groups, have many voices through agencies, organizations and individuals to speak on their behalf.
One exception is the prisoner. In this presentation, Fred addresses the current plight of prisoners, many of whom are first-time non-violent offenders, the totally innocent and their families. They
will be exposed to and asked the question, “Who Will Speak for Me.”

Various groups and individuals are challenged to accept this dire responsibility.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, Fred Mosely grew up during the height of Dr. King’s career in Atlanta, Georgia, and Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama. He was personally exposed to and involved in freedom marches, bus boycotts, sit-ins, and also had experienced the times of Governor George Wallace and Birmingham’s Safety Commissioner, Eugene “Bull” Connor.

Fred will candidly discuss, “I Remember Dr. King – The Man I Introduce to You, Today.”

There is a concept that when one is convicted of acrime, the individual owes a “Debt to Society” that he or she must pay. But, when it costs taxpayers anywhere from $12,000 to $30,000 per year to
provide for the average inmate, many of whom are considered non-violent offenders, how is that debt being repaid?

In most prison settings, inmate time is consumed by recreation activities like lifting weights, tennis, basketball, softball, flag football, or by shooting pool, playing cards, watching TV and movies, or
sleeping. Inmates may also invest their time earning Associates and Bachelor degrees financed by Federal and State Grants. The question legitimately raised then is, “Who is being punished.”

African-Americans continue to move into the mainstream of American life as business executives, doctors, lawyers, judges, mayors of major cities, state office holders, congressman, governors and
most recently, the highest office of President of the United States.

At the same time, African-Americans are becoming increasingly morally “bankrupt” with an ever-increasing rate of divorce, suicide, illegitimate births, dishonest business practices, promiscuity, absentee parenting and abortions, along with alcohol and drug-related dependency problems.

The question is truly, in view of this current moral deterioration, “Are We Better-Off Today?”

The Business of Prisons

The prison industry is vastly becoming one of the most rapidly growing industries in America today. The question is, are these institutions a place of confinement for those who are truly a threat to our society – or have they become a major “Rip-Off” of the American public with a real business interest at the forefront?

These questions, as well as many others will be discussed and answered in “The Business of Prisons.”

Laws of Life Forum

Laws of Life Forum is a panel of individuals who pray and discuss how the Laws of Life are applied to historical, current and future events. As the world continues to debate, the Word of God will always supersede the Laws of Man. Watch as former Judge Fred Mosely and his wife, Jean, are joined by the Laws of Life Forum Panel to apply Biblical principles to events.

Justice Project

Justice Project is an extension of JMI where Fred works with While collar offenders and their family members to come to know and understand that this phase of their lives does not have to determine and define the rest of their lives. Fred works with the incarcerated and their families to help them transition in and out of incarceration and help them to establish their life after incarceration and speak Spiritual and Biblical principles to them to bring them into a relationship with God and help them regain their life's calling.
